Saw a "besonderse mooi Patrollie bakkie" with lekker muddies, etc. on the highway this morning. I was about to chase after the bloke, hoot, show a thumbs up, etc... but then I realised that it was Tinus Lotz! So, instead of behaving like a total chop in public, I ended up merely calling him to compliment him on his excellent choice of vehicles
PS: Tinus - what's with the bungy cords holding your canopy in place? What happened to good old bloudraad and duct tape?

Bumped into a tour guide in a petrol 4.2 GU on the way up Sani on Saturday. It's a pity about the Jeep grill...

Two 'trols this morning....
First one was a very pretty, white 4.8 on the N14. He stopped in the right-hand lane a few vehicles behind me just before the Midrand offramp. I was waiting for him to come past so that I could give a wave, but then the traffic in the left hand lane cleared a bit and I didn't seem him again.
Second one was another very pretty greenish 4.5 (I think) with roofrack and similar. Turned into Menlyn centre from Garsfontein just before I reached the traffic light.
