Yip.... we will definitely need as many volunteers as possible...

We did get compliments from the cruiser and one or two others on our obstacle being sized for "bigger" vehicles..... :thumbup: :thumbup:

I wonder why I don't get notifications on new posts while I am subscribed to the thread. However, I would like to contribute the following:

First of all many thanks to all of us that participated in the event as drivers, co-drivers, supporters and spectators. As usual there was a great spirit among all of us from the start until the end. Also, a big thank you to Kobus, Greg, Christo, Cedric and Louis who managed the obstacle. I must also extend a word of immense appreciation towards Nissan SA and Brits Nissanwho sponsored and supported our team and made it possible for us to compete as well as to contribute to the very worthy cause of the day - the Endangered Wildlife Trust.

Our driver team had a difficult day in the field and we have not performed as well as what we have expected upfront. The fact that we lost one vehicle very early in the day also contributed to our challenges. The net result was that we ended up in the last position on the grid for the day.

What I saw within our team was that there was a huge amount of commitment and dedication within the team although some corners were just to narrow for our vehicles. The winning drivers/co-drivers in our team was:

1. Deon Wilmans and Peter Kressig;
2. Wilhelm van Rooyen and Jolandie du Plooy;
3. Jaco and Anrika Pretorius.

Congratulations!

Deon and Peter won first prize and they will receive a jerry can each. Wilhelm and Jolandie won a recovery strap as well as a recovery lanyard. I have these prizes with me and will hand these over when I see you again. Jaco and Anrika won a set of 4 ratchet straps each.

All the best
Groete/Regards,

George Brittnell
