Where is this place..... i'm guessing nowhere near the Western Cape hey.... I'm so keen to join this mess of patrols.... the GU Pickup is itching for a tough drive.

We will be doing the following if we reach the 40 mark for the number of vehicles: - maximum vehicles for this trip
Divide into 3 groups of between 10 - 13vehicles, departing at 30min intervals.

The early birds can leave at around 07h30 and the next two groups at 08h00 and 08h30 but latest departure should not be after nine!!

Good morning all fellow Patrollers and River trip attendees.

Please note that we WILL NOT exceed 40 vehicles on this trip, taking the terrain into account, the fact that we need to set up camp in the river bed at night, and that this is a social trip where we like to all get together and enjoy fellow Patrollers company and have a chat (groot kuier) the size of the group and the number of people currently book is already exceeding (note: double) that what was the original plan.

The idea is not to splinter off into small groups but to all get together around one big Bonn fire. The size of the camp spot and wood required for such a big group dictates that we do not go bigger.

Also take into consideration that we do not know what the riverbed looks like and what obstacles may lay ahead as it changes with every season. I know that Patrols don't struggle but the possibility of one or two obstacles that can take time is there and taking 40 vehicles through something that take's only 5min can still lead to 3 hours spend on that specific obstacle. And playing on the "mini dunes" in the river bed.

So for anybody still wanting to join pls put your name on he standby list should there be any cancelations.
