Here is the quote from Nissan for TB45E OEM clutch. I couldn't get a quote for a td42 kit as I couldn't supply a VIN nr.
Does that seem reasonable? I'm waiting for a quote from a WHK clutch and brakes company.

I thought Nissan would be way more expensive...
Have you tried Terrain Tamer for a price? Not sure if they can get it up to Swakopmund, but can't see why not.
Does Valeo not make a good clutch for the patrol? I can't say I've tried them or even if I have one in my Patrol, but from what I have heard they are pretty decent. I would assume they will be available in Nam

At that price, I wouldn't be looking at pirate stuff.
What I would do is ask Michael for a VIN number for one of the bakkies in his yard?

Seems pretty reasonable to me. I recall my mate paying upwards of R20k for a clutch job on his wife's Qashqai about 5 years ago. (with the dealer)
But as Peter says - get a bakkie VIN off someone and get a price on that too.

That is a great price for the dealers...
But yes, get a quote on the pickup clutch first
