Don't let it be so, I promised myself I will get a GU when they stop selling them. But there is no way in hell I can afford one now

Well, it seems that this is the way the world is moving...
Read somewhere recently that the next Gelandwagen will also have IFS.
Sad day.

I reckon my 4.8 may well outlast me. I bought it in June 2013 - going on 5 years now - and its only got 46k km on it now. If its good for 500k km, at this rate it'll still be running 50 years from now...by which I time I will have long since run out of road. I really did but it thinking it will be my last 4wd, but really knows? That Y62 is sexy! :-)
Incidentally, I'm a huge believer is beam axle-and-coil-springs but I kind of get the sense that similar debates were happening when cars went from leaf springs to coil springs... Time will tell!

This should be good news for the value of the 2nd hand vehicles.

I was in Liberia last year, the UN there only operate with Patrols, saw very limited Cruisers. In Sierra Leone again it was only Cruisers....
I saw the Y62 first in Liberia....
