That will work. You now need to check the timing and the air/fuel ratio and you should have a different vehicle.

Once you sort the settings you will find you gain a lot of power and smoothness at the bottom end of the rev range but it will no longer take off at 3 400 rpm as it is not getting the extra air through those holes.
have you got a Nissan part no for that.....David M wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018 14:51 There is good news and bad news.
Most of our 4.5's have a problem with pinging and we can mess around with different octanes of fuel, intakes, heat reduction etc etc.
The good news is that the problem is the worn distributor and replacing it turns your vehicle into a machine with no pinging whatsoever, anywhere under any load.
The bad news is that the replacement from Nissan is R 15 k. Importing from Aus is more expensive and Partsouq in the UAE does supply but has no stock which you should land here for about R 7 k.
Will get it. Forgot the old one which is in the box at Graham.Wilkie wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018 15:18have you got a Nissan part no for that.....David M wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018 14:51 There is good news and bad news.

Yes but the tiny coil pack is now 20 years old and the optical sensor becomes slightly wonky and these can't be refurbished.
