Ja kyk as n 4.2D eers n turbo op het is dit n hele ander voertuig. Vra maar vir David, hy het nou n 4.2TD en kan getuig daarvan

Turbos only really give problems if maintenance is not done, if you service regularly and definitively have EGT gauge fitted, then they can last as long as any Patrol motor should last. If you neglect the motor..... well then you may find out how expensive a repair is.

thank you - did speak to Frans he suggest a new engine - the conversion will be around 60 k .New engine will be less - but i recon the vehicle with original engine will hold more value- any suggestions?

HUBNTER -- if you swop the 4,2 N A for a 4,2 with Turbo, the value will increase.
Kyk maar Philip se rooi Patrol .. That was changed from petrol to diesel .. and it fetched a good price

I agree, and if done properly, that motor will last you a good 500 000km, so no need to ever by another vehicle, and not a vehicle high on the "affirmative shoppers list"..... so its a win win !!
