If the Diesel pump is fine, what about your immobilizer/alarm?? The engine will crank over but won't start !!!

Is the priming pump plunger thingy hard or soft? If you push the plunger down, how many pumps before it goes solid?

Maurice, did you follow Henris' advice on the 4x4 community forum? Sounded like good advice to me.

hi Maurice
did you come right with your dead engine on the patrol?
we have a 4.2 land cruiser which is starting to show engine light on dash board and then losses power, but if you switch it of and start up again its fine for a while. Also been to agents and cant find anything wrong :helpsign:

YOU CAN IN AN NISSAN !!!!!

Good day to all,

Sorry for the delay in updating this post however I have been out of the country.

Nissan now claim to have found a wiring fault and they suspect that the ECU is faulty (so they have sent it away somewhere for testing).

No-one at Nissan can tell me how long the testing is going to take or even who is doing the testing for them.

I am taking a run out to see them this afternoon.

Best regards

Maurice
