Still not sure about the switches....can you post a picture of you what you mean, or a part number please. I can ask Nissan here as well for the price of a new one. I can call the scrapyard and ask if they have the item, and a picture will help them understand over whatsapp.
I assume Tinus means one such as this ? The one for the passanger seat...

Hmmmmmm.... I wonder what it would cost to buy one of those TD motors and get it landed here???? :think: :think: :think: :think: .... definitely NOT airfreight.... :rolling: :rolling:

What are the duties on a motor only not a lot cheaper?

I sure as heck want one of them shortie boxie shaped ones. Like the Y60 GQ with two doors.
But import duties on whole cars into SA is 100%. I think it is to prptect the local market. Unless the car was owned by the importer for three years, I think.

I asked the price of the 4.2TD motors, and this is the reply i got.

AED9500 for just engine, and AED11500 for engine with manual transmission, and AED11000 for autotransmission.

1AED = ZAR3.23 from xe.com

Hi Alex,
I didn't ask about the complete 2 doors that they had. But would imagine they are 3 times more than just the engines....but that is just a guess.
