The roads are marked on the Garmin 2012 street maps.
See print out below.
You can also visit the Kosi lakes - probably a small entrance fee at the gate.
When you leave the border post - as you go out of the fenced area turn immediately right to ponta (there are no sign posts), just follow the most well travelled track and you will get there. There is a split in the road a few kms short of ponta - this is one of the ways to get to/from Zitudo, another road not on this map exists which is direct route border post to Zitundo.
Another tip - at the border you will also have to register your vehicle at the hut on the left as you enter the moz side, the hut on the right is where you have your passports stamped. You will need your vehicle reg papers and of course passports!

Pieter,
There are endless little roads that mostly all end at the same place and few signs.
Some tips:
1) There is a power line from Maputu down to Ponta and a line cuts across to Malongane. It passes Zitundu.
2)If the sea is on your right , you are going to Maputu . If it is on your left , you are going to the Fronteira (border).
3) The only tar roads in the area are around Zitundu. (If you can call it tar)
4)A nice stop is just outside Malongane next to Lake Piti called Sunset Shack. The sundowners there are legendary and you will miss it. Have to go back and spend a few days there!
Have fun.

The excitement is starting to get to me now

Come Sunday morning come...........
Will come and report back what we managed to see and experience. By the sounds of it I am now starting to think I should have rather planned a Moz holiday with perhaps a visit to Sodwana
