A little follow-up: my battery obviously was just dying as when I wanted to start the car a week ago the starter didn't crank at all.
After nearly a day of charging with my ctek-charger the voltage was just 11 something and you could watch it decreasing when disconnecting the charger.
Now I have a new battery and the starter sounds normal again.
