Hi,
Yes great report, was there and would have helped if I knew some of the things you mentioned. :idea:
To me 'burnt mountain' looked like the back of ISCOR slag dump, with black 'burnt' rock and that was it.
Would have stayed for the ellies had I known.
Now I do!

Burnt Mountain is another place. Also an Anorogenic complex but about 200km further North. What were you driving? Were you staying at the White Lady Lodge?

Off to Etosha on Friday... without the troll. Her turbo is in Johannesburg and won't be back in time.
Known as the wetlands 20°57'36.74"S 14°49'42.78"E I would say the best bet is to grab a guide when you are at the White Lady Visitors centre. The elephants move around quite a bit and I don't think they are as good a tracker and they are spreading the word where the elephants were last spotted. Looking for the elephants involves a lot of stopping and asking. There is no shortage of people who will "guide" you there!!
