Re: False economy Patrol sales

I had the same thoughts when I decided if it should become a petrol or a diesel engine.
In the end (and I didn't know HOW confident you feel driving the 4500 compared to the 3.0 diesel) I decided if I only once had a bigger maintenance on the diesel (injectors, turbo, not to speak of the grenade) I could have fuelled the petrol guzzler for years with that cost.
In addition I imagined driving somewhere in South Africa / Zimbabwe / Botswana / wherever and suddenly the engine goes grenade.
The stress and the cost involved with that (and also maybe the danger depending on under what circumstances that happens) is not worth the saved money on every refueling.
The Patrol plus the petrol engine give me piece of mind.
That is something I am willing to pay for.
