Just a piece of pipe if lamda is in front of cat.....I don't think the patrol controls the emissions but frans can give you the correct answer

Tinus are correct, cut out and replace with pipe. Lamda are infront of cat. No lamda after cat to reference a missing or blocked cat. The sound of the car will change thou.

Hi Chris, get an angry dog, that might get rid of the CAT

. If you look at the front box it should look like a round "silencer" which is the cat than next on the system will be your "normal" shaped silencer box.Get the guys to cut out the round "silencer" cat and replace with a piece of exhaust tube the same size as the rest of the system.

Maus do a good job as well, the 76mm is a bit noisy though, booms at low revs

Just taking out the CAT and adding a short section of pipe is what I envisage - What will the sound difference be like??

I may be wrong here, so please correct me if I am...... but petrols and diesels work very different from each other. A diesel you can remove all the silencers and just have one lekker big pipe as an exhaust. But on a petrol motor you need a certain amount of back pressure, which is achieved by means of the various silencers. My question is.... Is just the little rear silencer able to give enough back pressure? Changing the exhaust pipe diameter, will also have some kind of effect on how the air flows in the pipe. Possibly a small silencer needs to be fitted to assist with this.
Sound.....hmmmm yes well that is something different that each owner will have an opinion of. I had a BMW 325 (2.5 straight six). I removed the cat after it blocked up and had a Wild Cat exhaust system fitted from the std BMW manifold to the back . OH MY !!!...... OH MY OH MY !!!..... the sound was like an Angel peeing on my tongue...... I cannot tell you how beautiful the straight 6 motor sounded. At idle it was fractionally louder than before, and on gentle pull off, still at an acceptable noise level..... but.... when you pull away with passion to show that chop in his GTi with all 4 windows open and a duff duff duff bellowing out, even the GTi would hear that Beemer growl at him. They can also play with the noise levels to where you would want it..... just with a sweet sound
