Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

I know its a different engine but I experienced exactly this when switching a Land Rover V8 from normal multigrade to a fully synthetic 5w40 or 0w40.

Incidentally, ATF also makes for a great engine engine cleaner/flush.

Engine noise has gone and this morning when starting up all sounded good. I will be changing the oil anyway this weekend.

I also plan on changing my diff oils can I use 80 - 90 GL4 oil or should I rather use GL5 ?
