Buy one of these battery chargers( http://www.bike2bike.co.za/5step.asp) Leave it on your battery and you will never end up with a flat battery ,it will not overcharge

My two deep cycle batteries has died on me and I am sure it is because of maintenace issues, so will hve to invest in proper charger as it is an expencive exircise to replace these batteries.

brige the black wire to the body and soilinoid will kick in and stay in only do this to keep battery to charge from altinator
i spoke to the guys at N L and they can change the programming to work when battery is flat.saw the problem many times and dont believe it works when battery is below 10.5 v .the standard system drops out at 12.6v waits for 5min and starts all over again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
remember that with D S BATTERY you need to charge at at least 14.5 v and you can only put back 10% per hour at ideal rate
crank battery mutch more and very happy to charge at 13.8v or lower
remember that for every 1 deg over 25 deg you loose 10% of batt life on D S battery
all the 4 x 4 fitment guys supplies D S batteries and when it is flat its flat you cant bring it up again with alternator

Quick update: secondary battery checked out ok and no issues, turns out that primary battery had a dead cell and is timex.

My son collected a new Dixon 668 (80ah) battery which is installed.. perfect fit for entire battery bay and all is sweet!

For the Y60 guys, the RIGHT battery is the 656

This 90A/H battery fits perfectly!
