There's absolutely no benefit and no need to body lift a GU / Y61 - wheel arches big enough for 35's even with 1- 2" lift most will have zero scrub.
A GQ / Y60 could perhaps benefit from body lift but would be far more sense to simply 2" lift it, can run 35's off that alone.
Body lifts make zero sense to me regardless. Such a hassle to lift everything else too, rear bar, front bar, gear levers, steering issues, bla bla bla. and for zero improvement in flex, ground clearances, traction, or anything else for that matter.
just my humble opinion naturally...

Hi Russ,
Can't agree more, I spent the money lifting the 'BODY' and did some suspension lift 2-3".
But you know what the "ACTUAL GROUND CLEARANCE OF THE DIFF" was only lifted when I fitted 315/75/16 MUD's
With the body lift and exchange bumpers yes the approach angle, centre critical angle (going over ledges and edges) changed a bit and the departure angle also.
But going over rocks and deep mud and sand did not really make a difference, TYRE PRESSURE IS MORE IMPORTANT than lift!

To revive this threat....
I know Tijmen did a body lift on his gq.
Who else?
For doing a 5cm lift what needs to be taken into consideration?
Any step by step guides out there?
I am considering a bodylift to create extra clearance for 33” tyres. Gq seems yo have not as much clearance as gu for bigger wheels..
Got tjm gold suspension in my gq, not sure of the lift and they might have sagged a bit over the years...
Body lift seems to be a cheaper alternative to replacing the suspension or am i wrong?

As suspensie klaar is, help body lift niks. Jy gaan net bump stips tref.
