Hi , check out this method, maybe not the style, but how to make a bed out of ply by just pushing into each other with cut outs. Maybe thick wall alu poles can be used as the slats for the mattras to lie on.The other thing if you dont cut the legs out like in this one, you have a flat surfaces lying on the groundheet, ie NO holes.
What do you guys think

This bed can be assembled with nothing more than a screwdriver. The quickly collapsible, and transportable, queen size bed is the latest in knock-down construction — something for the modern nomad without skimping on design.
The bed has a 12- inch shelf surrounding its perimeter for holding books, coffee cups and other bedside accouterments. It is constructed from plywood, the Knock-Down Bed also ships flat, reducing the need for excessive packing materials. The price is $1850 from Vivavi. The designer’s home page is Material Furniture via productdose.

Very nice Koos,
Great solution if one can fit in a decent queen size mattress into your wagon! I suppose one could make discs for the feet to distribute the load.

So n waterbed en n BOOT
Hel ons is slim!!!!!!
