Can the Madman be fitted bu an inexperienced blonde like me or is it a technical operation to do?
I still think for my case the turbo boost gauge is important. My turbo on my 4.2 is a little bigger than whats normally fitted as an aftermarket, so I'm a little more concerned about the turbo boost, than oil pressure..... besides the dash light will come on should there be an issue with insufficient oil pressure. The 4.2's also have quite a serious oil bypass for pressure issues. IMHO, If you service you diesel regularly with the correct oil, your oil should also not thin out to the point where the pressure becomes critical ...

Cedric that's all good and well up untill the day your oil filter pops or unscrews. Iff you have an oil cooler fitted, I reckon it's a must-have.
The dash light will not warn you in time to save your engine of something pops.

I don't mean to hi-jack a thread.... but I am a bit unsure about this. Does the oil light on the dash not register an oil pressure drop?
I would think that should one pop an oil filter, it won't matter what system you have ....you have k@k cause the pressure will be dropped instantly everywhere in the motor

Cedric the dash light will come on, but you can set the minimum pressure on the madman to a higher value so it warns you faster, and it gives an audible warning so even if you are looking elsewhere you get the message.
You have perhaps a couple of seconds to stop the engine before a conrod breaks and beats it's way out of the block?
