I have a frontrunner, but my rack of choice would be a Hannibal. Strongest, and also best design yet. Also, the front runner racks have lateral slats not longitudinal which makes for bad wind disturbance at speed.
However, frontrunner seem to definitely be the big seller though.

Re: Roof Rack wanted
Russ I have never seen a Hannibal, only pictures. It looks very similar to the gig country rack. The African Outback also has longitudinal slats, but all three these racks have transverse slots underneath to support the main slats, and these are considerably deeper than the front runner's transverse slats, and therefore I doubt they are really any better in terms of wind resistance, although wind resistance is one of those things that are really impossible to judge with the eye.
However the Outback rack has bolt grooves on both sides of each slat, and therefore I still feel that this rack is the best I have seen when it comes to the ease of attaching things. I also think the Hannibal, Big country and Outback are probably stronger than the Front Runner.
However I am sure any of the known brand racks are quite suitable and strong enough for any reasonable use.

Re: Roof Rack wanted
I have a Frontrunner rack. I think it is plenty strong enough for what you should use a rack for (perhaps not as strong as the others, though), but it does generate a lot of wind noise due to the closely spaced transverse slats.

Re: Roof Rack wanted
My front runner is 2.8m Long and 1.4m wide, so its flippen big, and even at that size it is still very robust and sturdy, however, i have seen the hannibal design and i just really like it, and i would have to say its slightly stronger than mine when comparing contortion before being mounted, after mounted its difficult to tell the difference.
Agree on wind noise Gerrit, what can one do though, thats 4wd'ing i guess, besides, over the rumbling of the 4.2D there's not much in it. The quiet 4.5 and 4.8 i would assume should be a little different.
