Negative, because its been intermittent, i've been trying to source the problem myself, howver, its becoming apparent that i'm going to have to take this one to the pro's, which is always difficult for me because with my work schedule i just dont have a whole a day to leave my car at someones garage, its a catch 22 , flip man, its so much better when you can solve the problem yourself.
I've just replaced the belts (see other thread) , because they were so loose and worn it was scary!!! anyway, i thought that maybe the starter motor belt was slipping and might have something to do with things here, but i was wrong. I checked all leads and wires running to the SM and Solenoid but all seem ok. The SM looks clean inside if i look through the gaps in the metal body, but is that a good indication of its internal condition?
Eish.
What if its just a relay thing? does it run through a relay first? cause it sounds like a typical relay box sound, click clack intermittently on start up. (however it goes away when its hot so i'm guessing thats not it)
