OK, I had the car in the air yesterday and I couldn't see anything strange or bent or damaged. The wheel turns two full turns to the left, but only one and 1/4 to the right.
The only thing I did see was this bolt that looked like it has come loose - you can see the "new/clean" thread. The lock-nut was also loose...

When the wheel turns to the right, this bolt pushes against the axle. The scuff marks in the green square on the axle is also new...
The nut on the right hand side looks like this:

What is this bolt/nut? Can I just screw it back in?
I'm sure this is what is causing it to stick when turning right as the marks on the axle and the clean thread on the bolt are both new.
Any comments?

I also cannot see your pics but whatever bolt it is and judging by what you are saying it needs to be tightened again. Without looking at the pics it may well be the root cause...Good Luck!

now i'm confused - its like i dont know my left from my right and whats left is right and whats right is left and the left is also right. Right?
chack the steering damper .. is it still intact at the fixing points?
Oooopsssss - I missed out on the previous posting - must;'ve come while i was babbling.
That bolt on the pict is the steering limiter bolt [it should have a rubber head]
Yes you could just turn it in, BUT oompie suggets you take it to a wheel alignmenst plekkie [- Get the patrol on a lift or over a pit - now, turn both nuts IN to the max .. turn the steering left until the wheel touch something [under carriage or bodywork .. whatever. turn the steering slightly back till the wheel does not touch anything. Nopw turn that bolt OUT till it touches the stopper plate on the wheeldrum. Repeat for other side.
Voila, you have all your "turns" turned back on again ..
[outoppi weer bekkig v'more .. of wat se ek alles oom Herrie?]

Ek't so gedink!

(Raai hoe oud is ek?)

Classic solution there guys...nice thing to know...I wonder how it got so bad though? A monkey doing the wheel alignment?
