Yip, I think the front track width is 1595 and rear is 1505, so 45mm spacers would be needed to equalise the track widths. Be aware, though, that, like all else in life, fitting spacers is a compromise that might introduce other issues...

I thought that the new Cruiser bakkie with its 2 rows of tracks were odd. Now it seems to me that they just borrowed Patrol's diffs...???

No. Check the difference in size of the differentials under the Cruiser and Patrol

Hi Gerrit, how did you find out the measurements so fast! i'll double check on my vehicle but knowing you the numbers are spot on!. of course, as you mentioned, one will always bring on other issues, but i cant see them being to great and have done my homework on the LC forum and have taken note of others findings and advice, particularly all your posts on fatigue and bend moments (i must say it made for hectic reading but very very interesting), so i'm positive it should only have a reduced wheel bearing life as direct effect, and to remedy this to a degree i will be forced to carry out wheel bearing grease re-pack sessions on a more regular basis, although this will only delay the inevitable i'm sure. i have two questions for you though still:
1:Why would a manufacturer do this
2:Is there any further findings i should be cautioned about.
Regards
Russ
Ps:I agree with you re cruiser vs Patrol diffs,....way different in size and positioning (not to say the cruiser is weak, not my any standards of course), but hell, these patrol rear axles are moerofabig!

Shot Dave, so far very happy with them as far as performance goes in wet,dry etc, but still not truly tested them at really low pressures off road, will take ics when i do though and report on how they handle. the size is perfect for my diesel i have discovered and really enjoying the fact that i made the right decision there, it takes alot of research etc to get things right first time, and tyres are costly items to make a mistake on. Good luck and whatever you do...Post pictures!!!

OK, stupid question, but why didn't you buy another set of KL71s? How would you compare these to the Kumhos?
