Poor Service at aftermarket dealers

Post by AndriesS »

I like to support the local guy, close to me , the one that - if they go the extra mile you don;t mind paing a wee bit extra BUT if there is one thing that really annoys me is when they promise you a pricing/quote or to email you info and they just don't do it. Being buddy buddy in the shop to cover-up the mishap doesn't help either, specially if you then still not come back to me. I'm sure you know who you are, if you read this please send me the info and get the detail on the product I already bought.

John, I feel the same! When I wanted to replace the front bumber I contacted ONCA that provide Nissan SA with the Safari bumper for the Patrol Bakkie - phoned them and they promissed to call me back and they never did. I then contacted 4x4 Mega World here close to me for an ARB bumper and the lady said she will come back to me with availability and price - she neve did. Service is just pathetic - even if you walk into Mega World and walk around in the shop for 30 minutes nobody even ask you if they can help!

At least had good service from Safari Center - Boksburg when they fitted my winch even though it took them 3 days - was their 1st time on a Patrol.

Yes, I deleted a post I made about, your Poor service you received.I thought I was a bit harsh with my commend. After I read your post again I understood your point of view better.
If you did manage to read what I said,I came up for the poor workshop, I even do not know, but I looked at a wide spectrum of private workshops doing their best from my point of view.I came out off the same private setup, and it is amazing what a outstander has to say about workshops.
My appoligies if you did read my post, after all I would be cross if I ask or pay for something and dont get it.No matter who and what the workshop are.
