I do not know the models that well, but that looks more like the 260 series, which preceded the GQ.
There was a similar model in perfect working order that sold for 40k a year or two ago. It looks like the white one posted by Fanus (SJC) above.
Now if it was a GQ, I would have happily paid 40k without the engine and put in something like a Cummins.
Since it is not, and without an engine, and given the past confirmed sale, I would not offer more than 20k.

The GQ is popular due to its looks, as well as due to being coils all round.

I would nmot touch that with a bargepole.

It looks very abused and neglected to me.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

May go view this weekend.

Alas the RD2.8T engine apparently seized and was removed but is still there. Had put in a normal RD28 but that was taken out too. So no engine in it currently.

So this does indeed have the rectangular headlights.. grille not nearly as sexy as the GQ.

So chaps, what should i offer? Old man wanted R40k but i was told it would be highly negotiable.
Also, was told it's not a major mission or cost unseizing a motor if youre lucky. This true? Worst case scenario?

Cheers
Any rust on the vehicle?

How difficult/possible would it be to fit a td42 in this vehicle?

Alas, sadly it does look like it was left outside for too long... still, will go have a look at it soon and get more photos too.

Will try for this weekend.

If anyone wants me to look at anything in particular, let me know!
