Replacement front speakers

Post by NMAD »

My drivers side front door speaker gave up the ghost last week so I called Nissan to see who much a new one costs, R 840 for one speaker Clarion 40W! Damn expensive.

Ended up getting a set of JVC 6.5 inch speaker part number CS-V628 which fits in the same mounting for R 400.

I must admit that the Nissan speaker does sound better than the JVC though.

New speakers are like a new engine - they require a breaking in period before they are at their best.

Audiophiles go as far as purchasing special CDs to assist them with this task. People who enjoy good sound just ignore the thin, scratchy sound for a month or so until they settle in. The rest have no idea what we're on about

Get those tunes pumping through those speakers !!

I love it when some dude in his sh*tty Golf stops next to me with all his windows down, drivers seat reclined further back than his bed at home with ummmm cha, ummmm cha, ummmm cha, ummmm cha blaring out. and then the Iron Maiden blasts out a little educational ROCK MUSIC his way to shut him up.....hahahaha.... cause rockers can also have loud music in their cars.....hahaha

Guys just to confirm the Y61 gen 4 front speakers are 6.5 inch?

I need to replace my one as well so don't want to buy the incorrect size and run to and fro to get the right ones.

(BTW, when I said, I need to replace, I meant my friend must do it for me)

Ants Custom replaced my speakers with Focus 61/2 inch and fitted a Kicker amp. Bloody hell, what a difference. Ist of all the workmanship with the wiring and fitment was superb. As a bonus the sound is brilliant. I tried to write phanominal but can't spell it.
Altogether blown away by what Anthony did.
