4.8 GRX - URGENTLY WANTED

Morning All!

The wife and I are about to start a new job in the bush and we need to purchase a serious 4x4 for the somewhat dodgy roads on the reserve!!

My family had a 4.8 GRX when I was growing up and I've always wanted another and this is the perfect chance. Was looking at a 2006 4.8 GRX in Edenvale with 200,000km but someone managed to purchase it before I could make my move for R140k

Anywho, we need a 4.8 urgently, we've got an absolute maximum of R145k (ideally less) to spend and we would much prefer a facelifted model, preferably with a few options (roofrack, bullbar, winch etc). Also preferably a GRX as we need the autobox as the wife really really doesn't like to drive a manual!

Any help with getting us into the world of the mighty Patrol would be greatly appreciated!!!

Edward, its not going to be easy finding a facelift 4.8 for your budget.....but not impossable I guess

Hi Michael, found a beauty in Edenvale in budget with good options, but some else managed to pip me to the deal as I wasn't in town!!! Will keep looking though!

Thanks offroadbiker , really appreciate it! We desperately want a Patrol, it's the dream vehicle for us at this stage, I dread to think of what we will have to buy if we don't find a decent Patrol!

Why a 4.8 specifically?

There are quit a few good 4.5's out there and GQ's - especially if it is going to be a bush vehicle?

We have driven both and the 4.8 just feels like a better motor, that and the wife prefers the newer looks (inside and out) of the post 04 models!
