4.8 Suspension vs. 4.5
Does anyone know if the 4.8 suspension is the same as the 4.5, and if it would fit without modification? Are the coils the same length or longer?
Reason dor asking I have a spare set of 4.8 coils and shocks that I would like to fit to a 4.5.

Re: 4.8 Suspension vs. 4.5
Take ONE out of the 4,5 [Right rear] and measure 'em both the 4,8 and 4,5 [making SURE you measure the sam sreings [remeber front and rear and right & left are DIFFERENT .. compansating for driver's weight and slop of roads...
Now don't just only measure the over all LENGTH .. also measure the thickness of the steel AND the gap between coils
ALL things measured, the 4,8 coil will give your car more lift than the 4,5's springs .. [if it is in good condition]
What shocks are you using ?

Re: 4.8 Suspension vs. 4.5
Hi Marius
I had 4.8 coils on my car before the OME coils. There was a definite lift from the old 4.5 coils to the 4.8 coils. I can recommend it. I usually use 4x4 megaworld in Bloem to do the work for me. Charge me R400 to change the coils for me, R800 coils and shocks.
Remember the take measurements before and after.
Good luck
