haha.... yip.... but still with the work involved to get it back to a sweet condition..... Take the 80 and minus the 20 and 60 then is not a bad deal for both parties. So with engine age and non turbo and all extra work involved, I'd push for the 50 mark. If it was in great condition then R80 - 90K is not un-achievable on a ST4.2 Diesel Patrol.... in my opinion

R20k for the obvious faults, then the little things add up, no more than R50k in my opinion.

Hey, that is a rare find.

But remember, there is no such thing as an indestructable engine, some just take longer to get there. General consensus is that these engines runs up to 600 00km before requiring a rebuild. Also at this milage some maintenance will be due here and there.

Compare prices vs the GU models on sale now, and I would say R80k is on the upper end of the scale. Most importantly, what is your budget. I would plan to have at least 25% of the purchase price available for odds & ends & maintenance.

Bearing in mind that there seems to be very few extras on the car, as well as the undeniable fact that it is 17 years and 400 000km old, I would say R70k is a fair price. Anyway, the years matters less than the milage, and this one is on the more advanced end of the scale.

Regards

Marnus
