For R3500 is this a good buy even if you need to change the cable, A new Ironman winch goes for over 10k

Riaan - What does a cable go for? I am assuming about R 2 k?

The reason I have been looking at the Adendorf winch is that often you find the same product without a brand name for half the price and as I say I have not completed investigations. Winch A may go for R 10 k and winch B for R 5 k and be exactly the same thing or even better. That's why I have a Patrol and not a Cruis^&....... A product I believe to be better with at least a 35% discount for the same age vehicle.............

I will say, if you buy that winch take it for a good service, it will cost +- R800 + new Synthetic rope R2400 fair leader R300 + Winch R3500 Total 7K
New Ironman winch R10995 + synthetic Rope R3995 + ironman fair lead R895 total cost R15885

So 7k total for a winch is not a bad buy

Thanks Riaan and according to the picture the fairlead is included so am definetly leaning that way.

I prefer the cable to the synthetic. Any idea on cable price?

Not going to trash the other winch without checking it out but their is a good chance you are right. I have found some of there stuff to be brilliant and others to be cr&p.

Pieter, kyk bietjie onder die volgende seksie waar ek my Patrol herbou het. Ek het n baie groot intercooler in gesit en het n baie kort bumper op gesit. Daar is net net nie genoeg plek vir hom nie
