No Tinus!!! Not yet! But if you have ever put 10.5 radio pistons in an engine you will know how it runs - like a bat out of hell!

Found these guys in my search for uprated internals for the TB45, they have a few options for the TB48 as well.

Chris, a mate of mine had 10.5 pistons in a 145" (that's right) Land Rover with the old 3.5 engine. My oath but that thing ran.
Essentially, it seems more power for a given amount of fuel.

If impact on consumption is negligible, and power is more, why do manufacturers not do this as factory spec?

Whole lot of reasons I expect. More engine pressure = more heat and more strain on various components I imagine.

The problem is pre-ignition.
to allow the use of high compression pistons, high-octane fuel needs to be used.

Clem, from what I know of the places you travel to, I would not recommend this mod.
