185 000 km Service

Post by Tony »

Ok, been there, done that!! Graham Cummings did a great job - very proffessional, very thorough and listened to all my concerns and attended to each one as if my car was the only one in the workshop! Very happy with everything done, except for one thing:-
After replacing the boost control solenoid as well as the boost control sensor,(reccommended by Graham as my boost is not lekker), and disconnecting the Dastech unichip, I am overboosting still - I picked it up on my last trip - not as bad as the first time when the engine went into "limp" mode but I never had a madman then. Now, the same thing happens, but the boost pressure climbs up as soon as I reach a cruising speed and reaches up to 1.3bar when hardly touching the accelerator, and as soon as I move it either up or down, the boost drops and all is back to normal. I'm off to RGM tomorrow to try and set her back to normal, as they put her right when it happened the last time.
