Hi
Just bought a new 4.8, and sitting on ants trying to be patient for the delivery to happen..... :blonde:

I hope I can sponge up all the info regarding these legendary vehicles.... :oldtimer:

I previously had a Defender, and some other non important 4x4s. I hope the Patrol is as capable as the Defender but with less hassles... :rolleyes:

BULLETPROOF!!! :thumbup:

The only down point I can point out about the 4.8 is FUEL consumption!!! Its a drinker, fast or slow!!!
God follows me where I tread.....

The Defender can only compete with the patrol in 2 areas.
1. The obvious fuel consumption no comparison.
2. Packing space. The Patrol has quite a bit less

If you can live with these two there is no comparison.

So true Peter.

The last time I did Matroosberg a friend in a newish Hilux followed me. Upon reaching the top he commented that it was great following me. By avoiding my line, he had the perfect line to go up the mountain :rolling:

Ek en Louise sit nou hier in Barcelona - Spanje. Hierdie spul wil net scooters en klein karretjies ry :confused: Hoop jy geniet jou Patrol en kom wys hom gou, dit is nogals lekker om uit te sleep en nie uit gesleep te word nie :rolling: jy sal dit nou self ervaar.Groete en reel daardie winter Sani naweek!
