Re: Bash Plates
Hi Peter
Are these bash plates still being made and what are the lastest price. I have a late 2004 4.8 GRX.
Thanks

Re: Bash Plates
Eugene, I make to order. I usually make a couple axtra, but unfortunately I do not have any left for the 4.8, however I do have diff guards and transfer-case skidplates available at the moment.

Re: Bash Plates
Peter, I've got both plates fitted
, Errr just how do I connect the front section to the ARB bumper?
there is a small gap - no problem to pull the plate upward a tad,
but there is a difference in the angles of about 30 degs between the plate and bumper.... do I make up angled spacer washers?
Thanks
Ernie

Thanks
Ernie

Re: Bash Plates
Enrie, please send me a close-up picture, but my initial reaction would be to use countersink screws.
Your idea will also work, but will leave a longer section of bolt and these could thus bend more easily, and also will be more exposed.

Re: Bash Plates
At sea till after new year but will do then, it's about a 10mm gap, evidently the plate angles upwards but the bottom of the ARB bumper is parrallel to the ground - not a train smash just want to give it a bit more strength with the extra bolts.Peter Connan wrote:Enrie, please send me a close-up picture, but my initial reaction would be to use countersink screws.

Drilled two extra holes in the chassis and mounted with 4 x 6mm and 4 x 12mm HT bolts using a flat plate drilled & tapped as a nut dropped inside the chassis.

Hi Peter
Do you have one to fit a 2001 4.5 GRX with an ONCA bullbar?

Re: Bash Plates
Not yet Peter! Holding thumbs that it will still be available when I get back to South Africa.
Just enquiring what my options are! - guess I am getting excited and a little ahead of myself - LOL
Have contacted the bank for finance already.
