Radiator problem

Morning all

On Friday late afternoon I saw the connecting pipe from my radiator to the auxiliry tank has broken off, it was defnitief vasgeplak on a previous occasion , for the interim I used super glue but it did not took long for this to come loose on the gravel roads in the willetuin. What can one use to plak this thing for good.

In Dec before I went to Lesotho I had a compression test done by one of the radiator places, should it not have picked up that there was a problem.

Iewers is daar 'n foto van waar Grootseun 'n brass pypie met skroefdraad in die radiator gedraai het - miskien kan jy dieselfde doen.

This pipe will only such water from the reservoir when cooling or if the pressure in the cooler goes past the relief pressure of the radiator cap it will release water/pressure into the external reservoir.
A pressure test only checks the "inside" of the radiator where this line is effectively outside of the radiator.
Pressure test will not pick this up.
Only and observant eye.

Jules mine broke of on the radiator so i had a bit more body there to fiddle with see the pics of my fix on that , im sure you can do that on here also if the plastic is thick enough and you can find a small fitting that will fit in there , i tapped my radiator and then covered the threads on the brass fitting in pratley steel and screwed it in and tightened it - no leaks yet and its already a few thousand kilos later

Yours is in a different place though so im not sure that the plastic will have enough body , do not under estimate the temporary fixing power of Q bond and the black powder it comes with on these kinds of plastic
