:woo: Jorrie put the proposal to me and the view is that it was too expensive for us as individuals, and the club would also not be willing to pay upfront and then battle to get our money back. We are having problems with getting the club membership monies out of members, so how will we get more money out. We will on this day arrange a big get toghether for all Nissan owners. The Nissan 4x4 club will arrange and invite Z club members,Datsun,SSS and GTR owners, also invite owners of the Nissan brand. Have spoken to Nissan and the Z club and they are eager to be involved. We might get some money. This will allow us to get a big group toghether and use this as a NISSAN day. The venue that Jorrie organised, is expensive and when they heard it was more than just a 4x4 club they became nervious. They make money out of this vacility and are nervious to give it at a lower rate as they charge the manufacturers big money. There are now two other options and we will sort these out soon and let you know. We are also working with sponsers to see if we can get the day cheaply. We might just be aware that when an individual organises something, first find out what the financial implications are before we settle for a day. We hear it frequently and see it on the forums and website that people are battling with money, so the club is very aware of this and does not want to put anybody at risk. If there are funds available that poeple have to give away, please let Mac have for his outreach, as this goes to a good cause. We will keep you all informed of the arrangements.

I am sorry if I have offended anyboby with my efforts :imsorry: . This was not my intention.

However, this idea was conceived to provide an opportunity to those that have not been to Gerotek and include Armscor and DoD members. This was never intended to be a Nissan or sponsored event, but rather to bring individuals from different backgrounds who share the 4x4 passion together. Hence my invitation to this forum, Armscor and DoD members, all in their private capacity. To this end I have specifically selected a date that would not have been in conflict with the Nissan 4x4 Club calendar.

In my opinion the Gerotek offer presented is reasonable and that is why I am prepared to pursue it.

If there is sufficient support, the Gerotek day (17 November 2012) will be on :layrubber: .

Those that are still interestest given the costs and other arguments please copy the list and paste it into a new post frame, add your name [and number !!] and SUBMIT. If anybody on this new list is no longer interested, kindly advise.

Jorrie, I don't see how anybody can be offended whith what you have done?

What you are arranging is exactly what you started out to arrange? The fact that it couldn't be "enlarged" to suit a bunch of other people may or may not be a pity, but that is in any event due to circumstances beyond your control.

In any event, I do not see how this negatively affects anybody, and those who feel offended can just stay at home?
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.
