Patrol's 60th Birthday: 3 Provinces, 24 September 2011

What a fantastic weekend! A thousand times thank you to Kobus and Nico and also to Ronel from 3 Provinsies for putting this together. I was simply amazed at how smoothly everything went, no mean feat whith 60 cars and their occupants in the mix.

Thank you Nissan SA for coming to the party in a big way and making us Patrollers feel a little special (although I would have still slightly preferred a clutch friction plate that was delivered timeously )

Thank you to all the Patrol guys and gals that attended. Thanks for your great spirit and for being so easy-going, so friendly and just such a great bunch of people. It was great to see an emerging Patrol culture in SA.

It was so great to meet forum friends from face to face and to chat. Would it not be great if we could have a gathering such as this on a regular (every second year?) basis...

Wow what a weekend!! To the organisers, especially Nico, Kobus and Ronel, hats off. Really one of the best events I ever attended.
To the participants, what a great bunch of people. Getting that 60 done in no time.
To the caterers, amazing food for such a bunch of people.

Been very nice to put faces to names, especially Oom Mac, Oom Herrie, Gerrit, Jeanne, Jules, Grant, Pierre, Cobus van Deventer, Nico. Too many to name all.
So nice seeing the known faces again, Johan, Tinus, Peter, Cobus, and on and on.

Thanks to Nissan for coming to the party, I really hope you guys start appreciating this loyal following that drives your benchmark car.

As the guys said, lets make this a regular event.

Thanks for all the kind words. Yes I have spoken toJeanne Volschenk, from Swaziland who was there this weekend, and we are going to Swaziland. We have suggested in Feb 2012 as this year has run out. He does the sweep for the regularity raid so we can do this and other nice places. We have had many requests do get toghether again and it is suggested if somebody has a spot that would be nice to stay and visit, tell us and we organise. Have also had resonce from Nissan and they are also full of prais and thank all for the lovely weekend. Shoe the cold weather was a bit of a problem, as I as most people did not take correct clothing with. Keep well and lets get photos. Kobus has when I left , some 6 gs of fotos. Love to all . Thank you to you and the team that made this a very special event. Also many thanks to Nissan. I was pleasantly surprised, and hope that our relationship with them will get better. Also, many thanks to Wimpie and Cedric and other who's names I do not know for the helping in getting the two temporary immobilized trolls back in action. I spoke to Andrew last night and he did get home safely.

Yes I agree the Patrol guys have an awesome culture and I was impressed that even our spouses were talking to each other - which they never met before - and there were no issues

Can't wait for the next event!
