Release bearing TDI 4.2 GU Y61

Post by Tiny Howarth »

Interesting thing happened to me, the realease bearing started to make a noise, so I decided to replace it. Got one by Nissan off the self same day NAD 340.00 very surprised :bravo: pulled the box release bearing not the same, took back to Nissan they said according to VIN this is the bearing, they said I must have changed the box, I have no record that the box has been changed. I went to CBS they told me there is two types, I got the correct one by CBS off the shelf same day NAD 634.00.
I will send some pics for the incorrect one, and also correct one for VIN JN1TCSY61Z0503096.

According to Partsouq :

Last 2 digits 10 not 1A

Also, friend of mine got whole clutch kit from Midas, LUK if I remember correctly. The release bearing was also wrong, had to get from Nissan

And, believe it or not.. my 4.2D is at 883000km, still original clutch parts.
