Ha ha.... dave ....you're such a chop....ha ha

BTW. Replacement filters for that airbox is a :-
GUD AG1028
or
Mann and Hummel C18143
or
SAAB 5173166

I battled to get an AG1028 filter from GUD. GUD actually supplied me with the Mann and Hummel filter, in a Mann and Hummel box but with a GUD sticker on it....  .... go figure

hehe

Thanks Cedric, will keep that in mind.

The mechanic wasnt keen on the airbox replacement. Going to take the patrol to SAC (probably centurion seeing as grant recommends them so highly!)

Included fitting of madman, servicing of radiator, some injector work, snorkel fitment, dyno tune, and I can honestly say this is the first time my patrol has been as much of a pleasure to drive on road as it is off. SAC Centurion did best job i could have asked for. The Patrol drives amazing, sounds amazing, is amazing. :woo: :woo:

Im a few years late for this one im assuming.... anyone else got one lying around?

Must admit i was also wondering about the advantages (if any) to fitting a performance type filter to supply more airflow to the engine. (Solely for town driving, not offroad).
Would more air equate to better fuel consumption?
I see lot off people removing the vortex pre “filter” on the tb42 then claiming better consumption/performance, what is the thoughts on this?

Only if the engine is currently starved of air. If the mixture is correct throughout the rev range, it wouldn't make much if any difference.

I certainly didn't see any measurable improvement when I changed my filter setup.
