I run the Mathole 4x4 river trail, it's a grade 4 to 5 trail in a dry river bed and lots of rocks, it is 17km past the Moegatle turnoff.
We only do the trail on Saturdays and the meeting time is 06h00 in summer and 06h30 in winter, the trail is around 7km and takes an average of 8 hours to complete, also a maximum of 12 vehicles, your vehicle does stand the chance of getting scratched and if one drives recklessly one could also get a bit of rock rash.
The prices for the trail are R250 per vehicle and then there is also 3 toll gates in the river at R10 each, all is cash and there is no change available.
This is an amazing trail and has featured in 2 Off Course videos.
One can camp at Moegatle if so wishes.....

Re: 2022 Year plan planning
I quite enjoyed Goerapan and RDW last year. Camping out gives a bit more chance to kuier and get to know everyone better.
I would vote for a camping weekend at the end of April - Kareekrans looks interesting.
