Diesel pump rebuild

Post by Vatikaki »

Hey Chaps

I am having my 2007 NA TD42 diesel pump rebuilt at Constatiaberg Diesel. They have had the vehicle now for 10 days and they say they cannot find a replacement Throttle shaft unit anywhere. This is where it is still leaking. The pump is a Bosch pump number 104760-7050. Anyone know where spares can be had?

Regards

Paul

It Appears that there are no spares for my Bosch Pump model anywhere in SA. Tried Frans's guy, Michael and every Diesel place I could find. Solution was to re-sleeve the pump housing\cover to get Shaft to sit tight again

Paul

What has been the outcome?
Those rotary pumps is quite specialist job, and I know the guys that support Michael's shop know what to do as they seem to do many of them.
Where to get parts from if needed etc.
So I would rather send it to them (up here in Gauteng) unless the people you have it with have specific experience in the the TD42 injector pump.
Skilpad, Shortie, Toro & Masewa

Hi Alex

The diesel guys in Constantiaberg sorted the top cover by re-sleeving the throttle shaft "hole". No more leaking and so far all good. After the re-build and calibration the old best seems to be a bit more responsive.

Hi Cedric
I'll appreciate it if you could give me Frans' contact details. It seems as if it is about two years since he has last been active on this forum.
