Might be able to get away with the existing protruding stubs... depending on the rim. Some have recesses in which will accommodate this:

Re: Y62 with 35” Tyres
Hi Russ, you are right they are protruding slightly. We were going to work them flush however the standard rims have a slight recess over that exact spot so it wasn’t necessary.Russ Kellermann wrote: ↑07 Apr 2021 07:38 Hi Mark.
Much better using these custom spacers with their own studs.
Just make sure the original studs and bolts are not protruding past the wheel spacer mating surface (it looks like they are in the pic - might be an optical illusion). As you need the wheel mating surface to site hard up against the spacer surface with no interference whatsoever, which im sure you already know . (obviously)

Re: Y62 with 35” Tyres
Std rims have the same recess over the existing stud on all 6.

Hi Mark
If I may ask:
What size tyres did you fit exactly ex 35 x 12 or 305/70 ...?
Who made the wheel spacers for you?
What did your suspension lift entailed?
Which brand did you use and which parts did you replace ?
