Diff Ratios
Thanks to Tinus for finding the 4.1 ratios and Colin at TC AutoMatiX for the fitment I have a total different Patrol.
No more hunting between gears on uphills.
The engine sounds happier (even my wife noticed the difference in engine note much more relaxed).
Much more responsive in overtaking.
When traveling at 140 gps speed everything sounds calm not like before the engine screaming for more gears.
Revs down will give feedback after a trip on how much was to exited yesterday and traffic to heavy to do proper check.
In a nut shell totally different car to drive.
From my little experience have to do ratios when fitting 35 inch tyres on a 4.8
Thanks to all fellow Patrol owners on this group for all information shared makes driving a Patrol special. It always makes me feel special to belong to the Patrol family.

Re: Diff Ratios
I can also vouch for a ratio change. I have 33' tyres and also went the 4.1 ratio route. Now the 4.8 auto really comes into it's own. It's a totally different vehicle. It pulls well, and I can't wait to put my trailer on the back. Before the auto box always felt a little lethargic but feels much more responsive and direct. The second thing you do after you fit bigger wheels, is to change those ratio.

Re: Diff Ratios
Tinus, is there anything available in right drop front and rear with 4.88 ratio. I have an H260 rear and C200 front end in the Sani, and was wondering if there is maybe a more "modern" alternative. Although the H260 has an amazing LSD, it is a bit old at 40 years, and it is a big lump of metal with that 10.5" crown wheel. I was hoping to find a H233 front and rear, but it does not seem these are available in 4.88. I just can't go higher as I am already struggling a bit with the 33" tyres which would work better with a 5.3? ratio.Tinus lotz wrote: always happy to help

Sit net n safari stasiewa h233 agter in as die 260 jou pla. Jy sal nie sommer die 200 voor diff breek met jou td27 nie.davidvdm wrote:Tinus, is there anything available in right drop front and rear with 4.88 ratio.
