I was recently in contact with someone who manufactures tables for 4x4ers. See below for pics. Being such a kind person, I told him I will post it here for anyone interested

I did the following for my drawer system - a set of covers which fit over each of the drawers that double up as "tables". They work very nicely when preparing coffee / a meal on the road, and the barn doors work well to prevent wind interfering with the gas burner.
In cases where one has the gas burner on some other table (ie: when one is camping / similar), I made a small modificaiton whereby the two covers clip into each other to make a portable "wind screen" for the gas burner.
Please excuse the ashtray in one of the photos. I still used to smoke when I built those...
