Hi Dirk.
From our side, and I think Tommie agrees, there will be no dune trip this year. Numbers are too small to warrant the distance and all the work that goes into this event from getting prize sponsors, to setting up time trials and races.
Unfortunately not well attended to continue been on the years event list. Although planned well in advance, too many last minute retractions, made us look unprofessional and non committed to our Patrol brand, especially to local businesses coming through from Upington for the day with their families to see these cars in action. They are disappointed to see the same 5 or 6 cars dragging down a dirt strip several times over.
Sad day indeed when these events are cancelled. They were really good fun!
Regards
Vanessa

What about a Seredipity weekend trip in October to replace/fill the dune trip gap. Not too far, not too serious for the newcomers either.

I will put it to the forum as no specific trip/outing belongs to anybody, if there is forum members that wants to do the trip and someone is willing to be Kamp komedant then I will support regarding the admin from the forum side.

Will put it up for a vote in early Feb and then we take it from there.

Hi Guys

I just wanted to find out how this year calendar works.

The dates and trails listed can we just join in on the day or is it planned event for which we need to pre book?

Thanks

Hi Neil

A Thread is typically started for each event as the time nears.
You can put your name down in the thread.

For Moegatle, the thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=8753

Morning, there is also a notification group where we send out notification of upcoming events, should you wish to be added to the group just drop me a PM with your sell no and name.

This is not the social watsup group so no worries that you will be bombarded with watsup messages - should you wish to be added to that group just let me know as well and I will ad you to that as well.

John Rock 4x4 had a chat with probably our most supportive Nissan dealerships - Brits Nissan who expressed interest in joining in a Patrol/Nissan day at John Rock 4x4. Johnny had aimed at a date which is already programmed. He has asked on Facebook for an alternative date. I would like to suggest that we change the venue of our 11th April event from Hennops to John Rock 4x4. What's the feeling of the forum?

Never heard of John Rock, but my Patrol does Hennops with no input from me, so I am keen to try it.
