GU Pickup - tyres on OEM steel rims

Post by Vatikaki »

Hey Chaps

Would these be any good on a GU TD42?

https://www.fundityres.co.za/235-85r16- ... r-114-111q

Currently has Conti Contact 4x4 245/70R16 but they are almost finished and looks a bit small diameter wise

Regards

Paul

Can't comment on the brand or specific tire model.

With regard to the size, you are currently on 30.5" tires. The size you are looking at is 31.5", so a little better. Personally, I think Patrols should be on at least 33's.

Do those come in 255/85R16?
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

The tyres in your link were standard fitment on the last of the LR defenders, so apart from leaking oil, they are probably pretty decent. I'm not sure about the 4.2 N/A as I have the 3.0crd but I have just fitted 33's on mine and it is a big improvement.
Cheers, Gareth
I think, therefore I am........ I think?!?!?!
