Thanks for the detailed response. I currently have tough dog, but it feels a bit harsh to me unless fully loaded. Interesting to get feedback on the other brands.

I fitted the Peddars 80 series cruiser bump stops, but the nissan ones should be fine.

ordered thursday, arrived today
Partsouq marginally cheaper than Nissan SA, once import duties and taxes and DHL fees paid
USD76 (R1123.82) + R466

I thought the little rubber things on the top were supposed to be threads - have I ordered the wrong things?
Otherwise how do these attach?

Are they not perhaps screw-on caps to protect the stud threads?
