When stuff gets unplug ect you need to reset

Aparantly it is there for a reason. We saw on Alex Le Roux's 4.8 that it increases torque at a certain rpm. Thys got heaps more torque with it working than disconnected........ Nissan actually did some development on that item

I wonder if this could be the cause of the rattling/tapping sound on my 4.8? I suspect it needs valve clearance adjustments but heck maybe I will be incredibly lucky and save myself 15k or more !

Well maybe it should be left in, but just make sure its tight! I have personally seen the broken cam from bits going through the engine.

I remember the dino curve way better low down tongue with it in place

I'm pretty sure that the butterfly is there to shorten the intake runner length at low rpm to improve torque at low rpm.

Jip and the dino on alex skippad proved it so put it back and locktite it nissan made it that way for a reason . :rolleyes: :thumbup:
