I just cleaned my PCV on my 4500.......the veertjie feels "pap", how should this feel?? If you shake the valve the insides are "loose". Like in a pap veertjie.

???

Checking Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV)
System
CHECKING PCV VALVE
With engine running at idle, remove ventilation hose from rocker
cover; if valve is working properly, a hissing noise will be heard as
air passes through it and a strong vacuum should be felt immediately
when a finger is placed over valve inlet.

Hi Petri,

Being a diesel head, I am not too familiar with the whole PCV thing, But I got this for a mate of mine a good few years back.

Maybe this will help...

Besides emissions control is there a valid reason to have a PCV valve on a (TB48) Patrol? Do the fumes need to be sucked out, as opposed to just venting by pressure, for any specified system-related reason. All the decades I've just run a plain "analogue" vent into the atmosphere, dangling open, or through a filter, or into a catch bottle, to let the motor breath. Usually one of the first things I chuck on a car.
