Tinus, is there anything available in right drop front and rear with 4.88 ratio. I have an H260 rear and C200 front end in the Sani, and was wondering if there is maybe a more "modern" alternative. Although the H260 has an amazing LSD, it is a bit old at 40 years, and it is a big lump of metal with that 10.5" crown wheel. I was hoping to find a H233 front and rear, but it does not seem these are available in 4.88. I just can't go higher as I am already struggling a bit with the 33" tyres which would work better with a 5.3? ratio.

It's a totally different vehicle. It pulls well, and I can't wait to put my trailer on the back. Before the auto box always felt a little lethargic but feels much more responsive and direct. The second thing you do after you fit bigger wheels, is to change those ratio.
Pieter, I just did my ratio change, thanks to Tinus. Very happy, totally a new vehicle. I found that my speedo is now out by 20Km/h on 120, it now reads 140. Did you experience the same? I have 33" tyres. My Patrol is a 2010, 4.8 GRX

Hi Chris, talk to Tinus, he will sort it out for you. Tinus arranged Terrain Tamer gears for me, all brand new.

Yes, my speedo is also out by a large margin. Looks like Anthony is working on a solution for this. At least we'll be saving fuel by doing 120 now

These are the guys you need to see if your speedo reads incorrectly. They fixed my old 4.2i GQ Rev counter that was totally wrong after fitting the Lexus V8 in place of the Petrol straight 6. They also corrected my old MPH speedo to indicate the correct KPH readings on the old (British Import) MPH speedo

Save about 100ml per km? Remember that 4.8 is a very thirsty beast, do not think that a little change like that will change its drinking habits!!!!
